Boneyard is a multiplayer map featured in Titanfall. It is an abandoned IMC black site on the planet Leviathan, known for its gigantic alien megafauna of the same name, alongside other large creatures. Due to its abundance of hostile wildlife, a black site was built to test Repulsor Tower, or "dog whistle", technology, which was designed to keep dangerous indigenous wildlife away from IMC colonies. The fact that the Repulsor Tower there "hasn't worked for twenty years", and the presence of large leviathan remains, implies that it was abandoned, and suffered a similar fate to Airbase Sierra.
The stark, sunbaked desert sand exposes the silhouettes of Pilots very well, so smart Pilots will take advantage of the zip lines connecting the upper half of the facility to the lower half.
Most of the action takes place in the center of the map in between the Research Lab, Ammunition Bunker, and the Marvin Building. Control these areas and you’re sure to find success.
The most unique gameplay feature of the map is the indigenous flying creatures which attack IMC and Militia grunts and dropships alike. There are also large animal skeletons on the map.
Titanfall: Assault Edit
The map reappears in Titanfall: Assault, unlocked at Level 11. It has a Particle Shield protecting the centre Hardpoint that blocks outside AOE attacks but not deployment of Pilots, Drop Pods or structures.
- It is possible to kill the Flyers.
- The quadrupedal monsters (referred to as leviathans) look similar to one of the creatures from The Mist.
- Although abandoned, power is still running and the Marvins are still maintaining the facility.
