The R-6P Softball Anti-Armor Grenade Launcher (AAGL) is a Pilot anti-Titan/personnel grenade launcher from Titanfall 2.[1]
Overview
The R-6P Softball Anti-Armor Grenade Launcher (AAGL) is a rotary magazine, Pilot-operated, anti-Titan grenade launcher. It is lightweight and stowable, which allowed its operator to quickly fire and maneuver.
Multiple types of rounds can be fired from the weapon such as HE, EMP, Smoke, Tracer and High-Density Slugs - though only sticky grenades can be fired in-game. It can be utilized with direct or indirect fire modes which allow for varied firing patterns and combination attacks. Rugged, reliable and its simple design make the AAGL Softball a highly effective anti-Titan weapon. The Softball's munitions have the ability to stick to targets and surfaces, and detonate a short time after impact.
Aiming down sights activates a trajectory line to assist in compensating for the projectile drop, much like those of Ordnance Expert and the T-203 Thermite Launcher.
Tips
- Unlike the Mag Launcher, Softball grenades do not explode until they hit an object. This allows pilots to fire at greater distances than the weapon's range would signify by angling the weapon upwards when shooting or firing from elevated positions.
- The R-6P Softball is a really good weapon to clear out big groups of minions quickly and efficiently
- Like shotguns, it will reload grenade by grenade, so the amount of shots you take make the reload animation longer, so monitor how much ammo you are using before getting to cover. This also means that using the Extra Ammo mod will increase reloading time.
